Renowned record-producer and song-writer RedOne is set to bring four iconic acts to Bahrain this year to entertain with their legendary tunes.
The 47-year-old Moroccon-born Swedish producer, who has written and produced for artists like Lady Gaga, Akon, Cher, Cheb Khaled, K’naan and Enrique Iglesias, sat down for an exclusive interview with GulfWeekly at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain’s newly unveiled Arena pavilion to discuss his plans in Bahrain and the Middle East.
“I was in Egypt on New Year’s Eve for a show and my friends here at the Ritz-Carlton invited me to come for the opening of the Arena. This place has huge potential and we are planning to do some amazing things here. So I decided to come by to perform a teaser, if you will.
“This is just a taste of the performances, just to say thank you. The Arena has a really good energy. We have much bigger shows planned and I am going to be bringing big acts, that I have worked with, every time I am in the country.
“We are still working out the details with the Ritz-Carlton, but we are hoping to perform our first show in March in the build-up to Formula 1 events.”
