The Sunni Waqf (Endowment) Directorate has suspended all prayers in all mosques and worship areas under its umbrella.
The decision will come in effect from Maghrib prayers, starting today and until further notice.
The Jaffari Waqf (Endowment) Directorate implemented a similar decision last week.
