Week 3 of Arty’s Art Challenge for Autism Awareness
Calming when life is UPSIDE-DOWN!
"Many adults and children on the autism spectrum find certain situations very stressful. It could be loud noises or bright lights that cause them difficulties. A change in routine, as we are all going through with COVID 19, can be very challenging too" explains Christine Gordon, founder of RIA Institute in 1999 and staunch advocate for inclusion of children of all abilities in all aspects of society.
"Last week we learned that every person on the autism spectrum is different and fabulously unique. Their response to different stimuli are also unique to them. And they will have different coping strategies."
Arty the Autistic Camel from @baloosbuddies wants to know how you cope when your life has been turned upside down.
Remember you can paint, stitch, photograph, video, sketch, dance, sing, graffiti, build, craft or just make marks in anyway you want to express your ideas. Art can be anything right? And, of course, there are NO mistakes in art!
