We are now in the fourth month of the "New Normal" and we all shall get used to it.
Hearing always hoping that it will be over soon ... most likely it will not and we have to adapt to the "New Normal" with a change of lifestyle, but if humans want wait to be back to the "Old Normal" - GOOD LUCK with that.
It seems to be better to move on, get used to it and change our behaviour.
So what did humans learn during these days of the "New Normal"?
It seems not too much ... you see people starting to do sports, like walking and running etc. for a better immune system, which is of course a good change, but you should always have a good immune system, not only in crisis or pandemic times.
An immune system will be not created suddenly; it comes with a conscious healthy lifestyle and continuity.
So same time you see people throwing gloves and masks everywhere, being hysteric about hygiene and using endless of disinfectant several times an hour as if they never had proper hygiene in their house and work space or body hygiene before, so thinking of over protecting themselves and polluting the environment will definitively not help to overcome or adapt to this “New Normal”.
On the other hand, the production of waste from single use items, either from food shops for food delivery or barber shop/beauty salons is becoming ridiculous and the "New Nomal of Waste" it seems.
Just wondering in how many mouths a stainless fork or spoon was before if you were dinning in a restaurant and no one had an issue, because it is properly cleaned, but now if you get your food delivered to home almost everyone gets plastic cutlery delivered.
You don’t have even cutlery at home or you are afraid to use it? Completely unnecessary, it is just costly and useless, so a pure waste of money and resources.
Same applies to the endless one time use plastic containers, which end up in the waste after finishing the delicious food. Why not have circulation systems, which is easy to implement? Of course, a little more effort is required, but if people really want to live more conscious and healthy, this is the way, and definitely not producing endless waste.
People just should collect for some days or weeks all their waste produced from food delivery and for sure they will recognize how much waste is produced from these single use items.
Did anyone sneeze in your face or direction in a barber shop or spa before the pandemic? Most likely not as these shops are kept very clean and hygienic. Now required to change the mask, gloves and aprons after each customer will make a difference in hygiene? Do they use new scissors and comb, beard trimmer for each new customer? No, they get sterilised and reused, so what is the point of producing these endless single use waste items?
If people wash their hands properly and have high hygiene levels it will be very sufficient. So it is not about the equipment to protect people it is their behaviour and education or awareness.
So what has June 1969 to do with July 2020?
If people were flying to the moon in June 1969 people for sure can have a sustainable solution for food delivery or hygiene in barber shops and beauty spas in July 2020.
Right?
