Did you know it's really benficial to read to children at a young age for their social and intellectual development? Well it's true!
And Australian author Emma Mactaggart, Founder of International Read To Me! Day is on a mission to ensure that children the world over are read to EVERY DAY as routinely as feeding them!
Which is why, this year International Read to Me! Day is being relaunched under the slogan EVERY DAY is International Read To Me! Day.
While events have to be virtual due to the COVID pandemic, it means that you can tune in on social media any time of the day wherever you are to be read to in safety. How cool is that?!
Simply join the International Read To Me Day public group on Facebook, sit back and relax with your family while authors, illustrators and volunteer readers from around the world read you a short story or book extract. Imagine you could be sitting in Bahrain while an author from Australia reads your child a story!

See you there!

P.S. I'll be reading a story from Winnie the Pooh with Christine Gordon MBE at 930am Bahrain time on 19 March live on the International Read To Me Day facebook page
