Birds of a feather flock together ..

I never understood what this saying really means until I met Courage.

It took me a while to warm up to her because she was the most socially awkward yet outgoing and loving dog I had ever seen. It was a weird combination, because she would switch between zoomies all around you, to cuddle and tail wags to barking to a whole range of vocalizations that I didn’t really understand, all within the span of a few minutes. Honestly, she was the most confusing creature that I had ever laid eyes on hahaha.

Then I started trying to understand her and it’s time to admit that my attempts at that failed dismally.

That is when I realised that I don’t need to try and understand her because I already loved her unconditionally.

Of course, she does tend to take advantage of that love for extra cuddles and smuggled treats (I hope my sister Mona doesn't read this haha) but a tiny tail wag from her is worth it all.
