Strays should be shot according to an angry councillor fed up of waiting for a solution to the problem plaguing residents in his constituency.
Once thought of as a solution to the rising tide of canine concern, the authorities now prefer to capture, neuter and release and have even outlined plans for a ‘pet park’ to house the dogs.
Tempers, however, flared at Bahrain’s largest municipal council following demands by councillors to either expedite the exportation of strays or cull them.
