Seventy people walked in solidarity to raise awareness about breast cancer and domestic violence, as part of the ‘Pink ‘n’ Purple Walk, organised by Women Across.
Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava’s wife Monika Srivastava as well as humanitarian and economist Dr Hana Kanoo were guests of honour at the walk, held at Kanoo Garden, Gufool.
Women Across project co-ordinator Anupama Binu was overjoyed at the turnout and the positive feedback and hopes to keep the momentum going as the organisation continues its ongoing initiatives, including a community pantry and several programmes to support women in need.
