LAST month was warmer than usual for October with higher temperatures in Bahrain and not one drop of rain recorded throughout the period.
The mean temperature of the month was 30.6C – which was 0.7C above the long-term for October – and went on record as the seventh highest mean temperature since 1902.
The monthly weather report released by the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry revealed that Bahrain had eight days where the maximum temperature exceeded 35C.
“The highest temperature recorded last month was 41.9C at Bahrain International Circuit and 40.9C at Durrat Al Bahrain on October 1,” stated the Meteorological Directorate in its monthly report.
