A public beach is part of a major integrated tourism project inaugurated in Bahrain Bay yesterday.
The Bahrain Bay Beach, which covers more than 170,000sqm, will stretch from the northern coast of Bahrain Bay to the south of Al Saya.
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) hosted a foundation stone-laying ceremony, signalling the start of the massive project which will have a 600m beachfront.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister and BTEA chairman Zayed Alzayani.
Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and other senior officials attended.
