When I first met Courage my soul was battling storms that were much bigger than anthing I have ever experienced in my life. I was fighting invisible enemies, I was battling disorders, I was fighting to survive as a lonely fighter in a war that no one can see but me. Courage came into my life at a time when I had lost all hope in humanity and all hope in positivity. I was going through an internal struggle that I still battle to this day. People assume you are alright when they see you show up at events, or go to work and be productive and smile at everyone you meet. The truth is, it's those that smile the most that carry in their hearts the heaviest  burdens.. When Courage came along, I was at the end of my rope. I had lost my faith in many things that I had held dear to my heart and I was losing the will to believe in a better future.. Courage came along and she was like a magic wand that healed invisible pain. Bear in mind, I didn't like her much at first because her excitement was a lottle too much to handle haha .. but the truth is? If it wasn't for Courage and HER Courage after being rescued from a painful life on the streets as an orphaned and abused puppy - I wouldn't be where I am today. As the years went by, we lost our ability to be human, our ability to be compassionate, and to be empathetic towards our brothers and sisters who are battling invisible wars. Just because someone is smiling and laughing, doesn't mean that they aren't facing the darkness alone. We all need to be more like Courage - show love even when love was never shown to us, stand up and chase our dreams even if those around us have broken our wings. 

Be like Courage - and choose a path that gives you the will to not just survive those invisible battles against armies that are so powerful but to shine through as the true fighter who wasn't hardened against the cruel world but who still has the ability to give love, show compassion and be kind.
