A mosque has been closed for a week for violating Covid safety measures.
It was one of two found violating the safety protocols, the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry said yesterday as Bahrain’s authorities stepped up inspections to ensure compliance with precautionary measures laid out for the safety of citizens and residents.
A total fine of BD24,000 was also slapped against eight people and seven restaurants and cafés for breaching Covid-19 precautionary measures.
The defendants were found guilty of the violations by the Lower Criminal Court yesterday.
