Coronavirus infections in the country have hit a new high with 3,616 cases registered yesterday – the highest since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2019.
The previous record was 3,459 cases witnessed on Tuesday, up from 3, 274 cases registered on May 29 last year which was a 462 per cent increase.
Bahrain yesterday also recorded 2,588 recoveries, the Health Ministry said yesterday.
This takes the total recoveries to 295,800. There are 27,106 active cases in the country of whom 76 are being treated in hospital and 12 people are critical. Bahrain has so far registered 324,304 cases and conducted 8,524,834 tests.
