Second booster jab approved for elderly, frontline workers

A second booster dose has been approved by the Health Ministry for those aged 60 and above as well as front-line medical workers.

These groups of individuals can take any of the vaccines available as a booster dose, three months after their first booster.

Those who are qualified to take the second booster dose can go directly to the health centres previously announced by the Health Ministry without having to take an appointment.

The ministry also noted that the second booster is not mandatory and  those who elect not to take it will retain their green shield status in the BeAware mobile application.
