Two alleged kidnappers stopped off for a PCR Covid-19 test at a health centre before torturing their teenage victim, the High Criminal Court heard.
The Bahrainis, aged 27 and 30, accused a 19-year-old of being a police informant and made him wait as they took turns in finding out if they had caught the virus.
They appeared in court for the first time and denied charges of kidnap and torture as details of the alleged incident were presented.
The men were said to have taken the young Bahraini to Malkiya health centre in November last year and when he attempted to flee they caught up with him and forced him back into their car.
