The Enigma of Love
They say believing in love is truly a must,
For it is what makes the world go round.
They say feeling the love not just in the crust,
For it will never last nor will it go abound.
Some say love is a sacrifice,
One needs to choose, one needs to hope.
Some think love is just a device,
One plays along, the other wants to cope.
People murmur that love is divine,
It embraces flaws, it warms the soul.
People whisper that love is a red line,
It connects destinies, it is there to console.
A mother sees love as a forever haven,
A bosom that feeds, a hand that comforts.
A father utters that love is security,
An arm that protects, a shoulder that supports.
A brother speaks of love as a hammock of mercy,
It never judges, it does not humiliate.
A sister screams of pure love, always fancy,
It shares sufferings and condemns the hate.
A child looks at love as innocence,
For it sees the heart and not the person.
A child listens to love like a playmate,
For it banters and it accepts reason.
Love may have different forms and faces,
It may be in varied unimaginable places.
However deep or however shallow,
Love will be there even in the shadow.
There might be some haze that blurs the love,
But it will prevail, it will soar like a dove.
Love is there. Love is everywhere.
We just have to grow with it like a cupid heir.
