4 a.m. in the morning,
The lonely migrant worker,
Sweeps the streets,
While everyone sleeps,
He's just 25,
Got a young wife,
And a baby back home,
He isn't paid enough,
He struggles all alone,
He can't send her flowers,
He himself barely eats,
He works 12 hour shifts,
In cold winters and summer heat,
Hardly does he know,
He's getting unfair wages,
He's being exploited daily,
By the rich and the shameless,
In a system designed,
To keep him helpless,
This job's all he's known,
In a cycle that's endless,
Show them love,
This valentine's,
It's time we changed
This selfish design,
Slavery hidden,
In plain sight,
It's time we spoke up,
For what is right.
