Talented women filmmakers swept the awards in the Bahraini film festival ‘Made with Passion,’ winning five out of the seven prizes in the short film competition.
Last Friday, hundreds of captivated filmgoers flocked to the Isa Cultural Centre to watch 11 original 15-minute-long Bahraini movies after two years’ absence from the silver screen.
Special award winner Taken by Eman Sharakhat and Mariam Nasser also touched on Bahraini family laws, in its depiction of a recent widower’s struggle to keep custody of his dearly-loved adopted daughter.
