On the recently concluded 13th Chairman’s Cup Singles Tennis Tournament, 16 players from 8 different categories played for the final round.  Followed by the awarding ceremony, Fuad Al Rowaie- Secretary General of Bahrain Tennis Federation, Ric Advincula – President of the Filipino Club Bahrain, Gerry Toledo- FCTG Chairman were present at the event.  Finals matches and awarding ceremony was held at BTF courts, Isa Town.

On Men’s categories, Salman Firdouse won over Faisal Ahmadi 8-6 (MF2),  Alstons D’souza worked hard to overcome Nasir Maqsood on twice to beat 8-7, 8-4 (MF3), Alan Resurreccion ease passed Cesar Arrojo 8-5 (Veterans), Aravind Rajendran beat Ace Valino 8-5 (MF4).  Nyall Thoppil defeated Noel Monsalve on twice to beat 8-5, 8-2 (MF5) while Issa Nasir obtained victory over his brother Taha Nasir 8-7 (MF6).

On Women’s categories, Eira Gabrielle Corral overpowered Ma. Cyra Oblea 8-1 (LF4) while Leanne Gayle Sinocruz scored 8-5, 8-4 hard earned victory against Kathy Carlos on twice to beat (LF5).

Special Awards were given to Madison Haywood & Alston D’souza for the Best in Sportsmanship and to Marwa Abdulla for the Rookie of the Tournament.

Trophies were awarded to the champions and runners- up.
