Pertaining its legacy as a unique cultural landmark, Qasr Al Watan hosted a group of Emirati citizens on June 20th as part of the “Journey of Generations” program, in collaboration with the Arabic Language Centre affiliated with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
As part of their journey, visitors were introduced to special zones in the Palace designated for Federal Supreme Council meetings and summits and to the Presidential Gifts zone, a secure space where extraordinary diplomatic gifts bestowed by foreign dignitaries are carefully preserved.
Guests also had the opportunity to explore the library at Qasr Al Watan, affiliated with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. They were able to browse through the latest books and publications, as well as visit the Sheikh Zayed Book Award exhibition, which showcased award-winning books from previous editions. Additionally, they toured the rare book exhibition, which houses a collection of manuscripts and rare books that have been acquired. They also familiarized themselves with all the office and electronic services provided to the public through modern means and technologies.
Concluding their visit, the tour provided visitors with an understanding of how history and modernity harmoniously converge, resulting in a Palace that embodies the essence of its nation and stands as a timeless cultural landmark.
