Five Bahrain-based higher education institutions have been accredited by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as health universities.
The accredited institutions are Arabian Gulf University (AGU), Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Bahrain, formerly known as the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Medical University of Bahrain, Ahlia University, University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) and University College of Bahrain.
