A COMPREHENSIVE first-aid workshop was organised for members of the ‘Smile’ initiative, a programme that supports children with cancer and their parents.
Held by the Bahrain Future Society for Youth, the course covered how to administer basic first aid, evaluate injuries, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and deal with heart attacks.
The team also learned how to handle injuries before paramedics arrive at the scene, such as suffocation, burns, bleeding, and fractures, and how to use defibrillators.
