A TOTAL of 59,692 Bahrainis in the private sector received monthly wages of less than BD500 at the end of last year, with 250 employees receiving below BD100, MPs heard. The statistics were provided to Parliament by the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), which also revealed that the 250 employees receive as low as BD50 and work as canteen attendants and at nurseries.
