The revitalised Pearling Path in Muharraq is set to be inaugurated next week, with new buildings and conservation work set to preserve and highlight the kingdom’s heritage.
A tour highlighting some of the best of the Unesco Heritage site was given yesterday to officials and councillors.
The official opening ceremony, which takes place on February 21, comes almost 12 years after it was officially recognised as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2012.
