Employment among expats increased at the end of the fourth quarter of last year, according to the latest market indicators published by a government watchdog.
More work permits were issued between October and December 2023, and there was an overall increase in economic activity, said the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) on its website.
A total of 616,122 foreign workers were employed by the end of Q4 2023 representing a 5.8 per cent increase compared with 582,051 employees at the end of 2022.
