More than 650 people and 150 teams took part in a two-day fishing competition organised by the Bahrain Inherited Traditional Sports Committee (Mawrooth) over the weekend.
Four types of fish – hamour (grouper), chanad (kingfish), sheri (emperor) and cobia – were caught as part of the Haddak competition held at Amwaj Marina and the Bahrain Yacht Club.
Twelve winners were announced, with the team catching the largest fish by size wining in each category regardless of the total catch amount.
