WALKING THROUGH THE MARKET
It was morning in India, Arohi woke up with a smile and got out of bed and freshened up. She woke up late today as it was Saturday which was her weekend. Her mom meanwhile prepared breakfast. While she was combing her silky hair, she could smell the delectable aroma of her favorite food Pancakes. The aroma dragged her from the room to the kitchen. She wished her parents and sat on the wooden chair to eat. When she took the first bite, she said- Mum these pancakes are so tasty, you are a super chef. Her mom smiled and said- Eat up, you will need your appetite today as we are going to your favorite market which is called “ NEW MARKET “ .Arohi loved that market which was in Bhopal, she could not wait to go there are so many lovely things there. She ate quickly and rushed upstairs to her room and grabbed her shiny bag which she carried everywhere she ever went. Her father had to go to the office for his meeting so on the way he dropped Arohi and her mum. As they entered the market Arohi swirled here and there, her mum instructed her not to wander off anywhere without her, Arohi obeyed her and held her hand. She always loved to go to the stationary shop where she could buy loads of things like- Pencils, Animal shaped erasers, all color pens, new scented books, calculator etc. She even went to a bracelet shop where she bought 3 new and vibrant color bracelets. Her mom took her a shop which sold saris of different color and pattern, her mom bought 2 saris. There was a shop where a lady was arranging tomatoes, carrots and other vegetables. Next to her stall there was a lovely, colorful one that was selling flowers. They bought a red rose and a yellow daffodil, on the pavement opposite they saw a man selling newspapers with a small crowd of people around him. Everyone wanted to read the newspaper. Auto rickshaw whizzed past by them. Arohi and her mum even ate samosa and drank orange juice, samosa which was Bhopal’s traditional food Arohi loved it, even the juice was very juicy and fresh, the juice was made on spot. There were loads of cardamom stalls and there were so many satin shawl stalls. A cobbler sat taking his tools out of a small tin box, next to him was a small shop of a barber who had begun his work: He already had a customer who wanted his morning shave. A little way down there was a lady who was pushing down a cart which had all kinds of clips, pins, plastic bottles , plates and etc. They came to a part of the market where rickshaws were standing waiting for customers. There was even a furniture shop at the left corner of the market, Her mom said- It’s nice we came by this lane we really need a side lamp. They both went to the shop and bought a blue shiny lamp, which glowed like a shooting star in space! Arohi loved the blue lamp she could not wait to see it glow on her side table in her cozy room. On the way there a man selling corn, Arohi and her mom loved eating corn they especially loved it when the corn had some lemon, salt and pepper on top of it. They purchased two corns are ate them while they were searching for a auto rickshaw. Finally, they got one auto rickshaw to drive home. While reaching home Arohi hugged her mother tightly and said- thank you so much mom for taking me to this market it was so fun and thank u buying so many things for me. Her mom smiled and said- I love you and besides I had to get u something as you have scored so good marks in as your exams, the gifts which I bought for u today are a reward for getting good marks and being a good and obedient girl. When they reached their home’s doorstep, Arohi's mom paid the rickshaw driver and they headed to their home holding so many bags! Arohi couldn’t wait to show her dad what she had bought from the market. She was blooming with happiness today, she even got to have a play date with her friends. After she came from her play date she saw her father had arrived so she went to the kitchen to give her dad a glass of water, her father smiled as said thank u. then she showed her father what amazing things she had bought from the market, her father loved the stuff she had bought. Hence, they lived happily ever after.
