HISMUN III '25: Pressing Start for Justice – Empowering Youth to Take Action!

The third edition of the Hawar International School Model United Nations (HISMUN III) took center stage on January 31st and February 1st, 2025, reinforcing the power of youth-driven diplomacy. The conference kicked off with a grand Flag Ceremony, a moment of unity and respect, symbolizing the diverse nations and perspectives represented.

Under the theme “Press Start for Justice,” the event emphasized the urgency of taking that crucial first step toward addressing global injustices. More than just a call to action, it underscored the role of active engagement, collaboration, and courage in the pursuit of fairness and equality.

With Secretary General (SG), Sarah Juma and Director, Fatima AlDoseri at the helm, HISMUN III '25 brought together over 250 students from 22 schools and curricula, representing 50+ nations across multiple councils. Delegates engaged in thought-provoking debates, negotiations, and problem-solving, navigating global challenges while embracing cultural exchange.

Participants showcased remarkable leadership, critical thinking, and diplomacy, tackling pressing issues such as environmental sustainability and social justice.

Through resolution drafting and meaningful dialogue, delegates reaffirmed their commitment to advocating for accountability and equity in an ever-evolving world,” shared Ms. Esraa Ali, HISMUN III’25 Mentor, while Ms. Grachel M., HISMUN III’25 Advisor, added, “HISMUN III provided a platform for impactful discussions and real-world problem-solving.”

As HISMUN III '25 concludes, its legacy continues — empowering young changemakers to be proactive global citizens, shaping a future where justice is not just envisioned but actively pursued.
