Thirty Bahraini fashion designers are participating in an intensive training programme designed to boost the kingdom’s creative industries, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) announced.
The programme, a collaboration between Tamkeen, +973 Artisanat Creative Entrepreneurs Incubator, and the French Fashion Institute ESMOD, aims to equip local talent with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the competitive fashion sector.
Tamkeen chief executive Maha Mofeez and +973 Artisanat founder Dr Shaikha May bint Sulaiman AlOtaibi met the designers to review the programme’s progress. Participants expressed enthusiasm for the programme’s first phase, focusing on skill development, and eagerly anticipate the second phase, which will concentrate on brand building and business launch.
