Justice | Poem |

Justice

Slashing, my chains unheard

Wrists bleeding red against the chill of metal

Is there anyone who'd beleive me?

My soul pleading not guilty

Voice dry

The pain not shedding

Peeling away the last bit of my dignity

Stranded in a cage

Though born free like the wind

I've lost my last hope

Burned off like a candle within

Hang in there is all I hear

Where exactly? I ask

Maybe my own heart

Just ice

For Justice

- Monisha Vyas

The just-ice for Justice? Iconic.
