Bahraini author Zuhair Tawfiqi launched his first book, The Spirit of the Law, last night, marking the 10th anniversary of his writing journey.
Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh attended the event at the Safeya Ali Kanoo Art Centre in Manama alongside ministers, legislators and diplomats.
Mr Tawfiqi recalled key milestones throughout the past decade, pointing out that his passion for writing began during his intermediate and secondary school years.
He also highlighted the timing of the book launch, coinciding with the celebration of World Press Freedom Day on May 3 and Bahraini Press Day on May 7.
