Career Day opens for university students

Labour Ministry Under-Secretary Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa inaugurated the 20th Career Day organised by University College of Bahrain (UCB).

The event aims to familiarise students with appropriate career paths in the labour market and raise awareness of the employment requirements needed to qualify for various roles across productive sectors.

Shaikh Khalifa emphasised the importance of Career Day activities organised by private educational institutions, noting their role in informing university students about the skills and qualifications required to meet the demands of the labour market and in helping develop a competent Bahraini workforce.

The Career Day introduces students to employment and training opportunities provided by participating institutions and private sector companies. It also allows students to gain job interview skills and engage directly with company representatives to better understand different career options.

Shaikh Khalifa toured the exhibition booths and commended the participating companies and private institutions for supporting the ministry’s efforts to promote career guidance and vocational training for graduates and job-seekers.
