NTV, one of Bangladesh's most popular Bangla-language satellite and cable television channels, marked its 23rd anniversary with a vibrant celebration and cultural event at a renowned hotel in Bahrain on 18 July 2025. The program, organised by the NTV Viewers Forum Bahrain, brought together prominent figures and members of the Bangladeshi expatriate community to commemorate the channel's significant contributions to media and culture.
The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Mr. Md. Rais Hasan Sarower, ndc, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Bahrain, who was the Chief Guest. He was joined by other officers of the Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain.
Moreover, the evening was presided over by Mr. Selim Hossain, Advisor of the NTV Viewers Forum Bahrain, and hosted by Mr. Forhad Ahmed, Organising Secretary of the aforesaid forum. Mr. Syed Mamun Hossain, NTV Representative in Bahrain, was also recognised for his overall coordination of the successful event.
A notable highlight of the anniversary program was the recognition of outstanding achievements within the Bangladeshi community in Bahrain. Honours were bestowed upon outstanding SSC students of Bangladesh School Bahrain, Hafiz-e-Quran (memorisers of the Holy Quran), and young Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in Bahrain. Additionally, Mr. Aynul Haque, President of the Bangladesh Business Forum, was honoured for his notable contributions to social activities, and representatives of Bangladesh School Bahrain also received special recognition during the program.
The cultural segment of the program captivated the audience with a diverse array of performances, including patriotic songs, modern music, a short drama, and engaging acting performances. The highly anticipated "Audience Round" interactive segment proved to be a crowd favourite, promoting a lively connection between the performers and the attendees.
This memorable event served as a beautiful bridge, connecting the Bangladeshi expatriate community in Bahrain with their motherland through a rich cultural showcase. NTV's 23rd-anniversary celebration in Bahrain was a truly significant and enjoyable evening for all.
