A new one-stop online platform for medical institutions in Bahrain to apply for, and renew, licences has been launched by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA).
The Adweya (Medicine) application has been developed in co-operation with information technology solutions and software services provider Ebit.
Supreme Council for Health chairman Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, NHRA chief executive Dr Ahmed Al Ansari and Ebit chief executive Mohammed Abu Hassan were present at the launch ceremony at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel Residence and Spa, Manama yesterday.
The app, developed as part of the kingdom’s national digitisation drive, is expected to decrease transaction times by up to 70 per cent, according to Dr Al Ansari.
