Diving shops in Bahrain have been subjected to inspections to enhance maritime security and safety as well as to ensure that establishments comply with regulations.
The inspections were carried out yesterday by the Coastguard Command in co-operation with the Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, Industry and Commerce Ministry and Labour Market Regulatory Authority.
The Coastguard Command highlighted that the campaign focused on verifying the validity of legal licences and ensuring equipment met safety standards.
