Unspoken Friendship in Azerbaijan - I met this delightful dog during my visit to Gabala, Azerbaijan.
The moment I called out to her, she approached me with a warm and friendly demeanor. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and affection, and she wagged her tail enthusiastically as if we had known each other for years.
As she got closer, she gently lifted her front paws toward me, almost as if she was trying to give me a hug. Her mouth opened slightly in what looked like a joyful, doggy smile — a genuine expression of happiness that instantly warmed my heart.
When I asked her to lie down, she responded with complete obedience, lowering herself to the ground without hesitation. It was clear she was not only intelligent but also eager to connect and please.
Before I left Gabala, I offered her two biscuits as a small token of affection. In return, she expressed her gratitude not through words, of course, but through her eyes and movements — a soft nuzzle, a happy tail wag, and that same heart-melting smile. It was a beautiful moment of unspoken understanding between two souls, and one I’ll never forget
