Two parks opened in new East Sitra Housing Town

Two state-of-the-art public parks have been inaugurated in the new East Sitra Housing Town as part of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to enhance community facilities and expand green spaces across the kingdom.

The dual openings yesterday were officiated by Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak alongside Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi, in the presence of senior officials and local representatives.

The two parks – covering more than 4,000 square metres combined – feature multi-purpose sports courts, wide green lawns, shaded seating areas, and children’s play zones, offering new recreational outlets for families and residents of the town.

Mr Al Mubarak said the initiative reflects the government’s dedication to delivering high-quality municipal and public services in all areas of the country. “We are continuing to launch service-oriented projects that meet citizens’ aspirations and contribute to the kingdom’s comprehensive development,” he said.

“Our priority is to keep expanding and upgrading parks, walkways and public recreational sites while increasing Bahrain’s green cover and improving urban infrastructure.”
