Sustainable development goal 11 – sustainable cities and communities – was the focus of an event organised by Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School (BIS) at its premises in Abu Saiba.
Bahrain University quality assurance and accreditation centre director and associate professor Dr Shaikha Fay Al Khalifa was chief guest at the event, ‘SDG Bhavans Bahrain: Season 3’.
She emphasised the importance of urban innovation, environmental stewardship and active community participation, inspiring students to take meaningful actions in their daily lives to promote sustainability.
Dr Al Khalifa also highlighted diverse careers that contribute to achieving SDG 11.
