The commerce students of Grades 11 and 12 successfully hosted the Investors Arena competition, a dynamic platform inspired by the popular show Shark Tank, where students pitched innovative business ideas to a panel of expert judges.
Six student teams participated, showcasing creative and well-researched business concepts that highlighted strategic thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, and practical problem-solving. Each team presented its idea with confidence, explaining the business model, potential market impact, and innovative features, giving the judges a clear understanding of the thought and effort behind each concept.
The judging panel included Ms. Tanima Chakravorty, Chairperson of Albarq Group of Companies and a Founder of Biolights-a sustainability driven venture and she is also a certified Business Coach(ICF France) ; Mr. Amro Donya, who brings over 20 years of real estate experience across the UK and MENA, including managing landmarks like the Bahrain World Trade Center. He currently supports improvements in Saudi real estate regulations and is an avid traveller who has visited 78 countries and led numerous global expeditions and Mrs. Anusha Kumar, a pastry chef and the founder of the fusion baking brand As You Like It by Anu. She also collaborates with partners such as Lulu, where she conducts training in fusion desserts. Their expert guidance and constructive feedback provided invaluable insights into real-world business practices, helping students refine their ideas and approach.
The teams impressed with a variety of innovative solutions, ranging from sustainable products to tech-driven services and creative entrepreneurial models. The event fostered not only competitive spirit but also collaboration, critical thinking, and the confidence to present ideas to an audience of professionals.
The Investors Arena competition proved to be an inspiring and educational experience, highlighting the talent and potential of the students while encouraging them to explore entrepreneurship as a practical and impactful career path.
