BRCS launches Ramadan aid drive

The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has launched its annual Ramadan campaign to help underprivileged families.

Volunteers have started preparing aid packages, which include essential food supplies and other necessities, to ensure an organised and efficient distribution process starting from Monday.

Alongside the packing operations at the society’s headquarters in Diplomatic Area, teams are also finalising beneficiary lists and verifying eligibility to ensure the assistance reaches those most in need.

“The society has completed all preparations to implement the Ramadan aid distribution plan, and we apply strict criteria to assess beneficiaries to ensure fairness and wide coverage,” said society board member and committee affairs assistant secretary general Adel Al Jar.

“We also highly value the vital role our volunteers play in delivering these national and humanitarian initiatives successfully.”

BRCS secretary general Mubarak Al Hadi called on institutions, private sector companies and charitable individuals to support this year’s Ramadan aid programme.

“Such contributions embody the solidarity of our community, in all its segments, with those in need, and reinforce the kingdom’s positive and civilised image in charitable and humanitarian work,” said Mr Al Hadi.
