A family’s holiday celebrations were made brighter yesterday after their missing Doberman, Chef, was safely returned home nearly a week after disappearing.
The four‑year‑old pinscher was found last Friday near Budaiya by a Bahraini gentleman, who preferred not to be identified.
Noticing that the dog appeared exhausted, he took Chef into his home and cared for him.
According to owner Jocelyn Koay, the breakthrough came when a friend of hers recognised the case and shared her contact number with the man who had found Chef.
He reached out shortly after, leading to the dog’s happy reunion with his family.
The mutt had escaped from his family home as his owner was parking her car in their garage where he had been sleeping.
“We are so grateful to have him back,” the Malaysian expatriate from Shakhura told the GDN.
