Dubai-based Indian endurance athlete Yajath Biju Nair completed the 2026 IRONMAN Switzerland Thun on 5 July 2026, one of the world’s toughest full-distance triathlon events, covering a 3.8 km swim in Lake Thun, a 180 km bike course and a 42.2 km marathon run. Finishing the 226 km race in 15 hours, 21 minutes and 49 seconds at just 18 years old, Yajath is recognised in his achievement profile as the youngest Indian in history and the first 18-year-old Indian to complete full IRONMAN Switzerland, as well as the fastest Indian in the male 18–24 age group.
