Plants that Thrive in the Middle East Heat



Many parts of the Middle East would be uninhabitable were it not for date palms. It is one of the few crops that grows in the desert.


Bougainvillea blooms with white flowers, with each cluster of three surrounded by bright bracts in colours such as pink, magenta, purple. It is a hardy hot- weather plant and has a high tolerance for droughts.


Frangipani The species variously are indigenous to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, and as far south as Brazil and north Florida, but are grown as cosmopolitan ornamentals in warm regions


Royal Poinciana is known for its fern-like leaves and flamboyant display of orange-red flowers over summer.


Tropical Hibiscus The Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis loves warm and hot temperatures and won’t survive under 10°C. While it will flourish happily in the city gardens , it may have some trouble in more rural homes near the mountains during the winter
