An induction ceremony was staged to welcome the Indian Ladies Association’s (ILA) new executive committee – ‘Ek Saath... Shubharambh’ (Together ... a new beginning) this evening at the Ramada by Wyndham, City Centre Manama hotel.
Renu Yadav, second secretary of the Indian Embassy in Bahrain, attended as the event’s chief guest, along with other VIPs, supporters and members of the media.
Guests were welcomed by Reena Sreedhar, the new honorary president of the Indian Ladies Association for 2020, and other members of its executive committee, including Sarada Ajith, honorary vice president, and Neelam Gupta, honorary secretary - public relations.
There are plans to make the oldest expat women’s group’s 64th year a lively one in terms of both community service and cultural interaction.
“We welcome ladies who can work together for charitable causes as well as join a wonderful sisterhood of support,” said Ms Sreedhar.
