Visiting Balinese Chef de Cuisine I Made Suriana presented an array of traditional Indonesian cuisine to guests at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain this evening.
He was the star turn at the unveiling of the beach resort’s new pop-up restaurant Nikmati and will be in the kingdom for a couple of months.
“The restaurant takes pride in its homemade dishes, each one made with passion and a commitment to authenticity,” a hotel spokesman said.
Chef Suriana is currently at The EDITION-Sanya and is renowned for his barbacoa skills, a slow-cooking style, mostly for shredded or chopped meats placed over an open fire or fire pit.
He is also a former Indonesian chef de cuisine at the Ritz-Carlton Bali and Asian Chef at the Four Seasons Hotel & Resorts in Toronto, Canada.
