A supermarket chain in the country has announced a temporary shutdown of one of its outlets over suspicion of a Covid-19 case, the GDN's Raji Unnikrishnan reports.
Alosra supermarket said on its social media pages that it was closing its store in the Najibi Centre in Saar due to a “suspected case of Covid -19” among one of its team members.
The announcement said the suspected individual, at its customer service counter where tobacco is merchandised, is not yet confirmed positive.
“The outlet is closed for disinfection; when we reopen, we will deploy a new team while the existing team self-isolate as a standard precautionary measure,” it said.
It added that all other outlets remain open as normal.
