The Premier yesterday vowed to harness every means possible to protect Bahrain’s citizens and residents from the coronavirus spread, GDNonline reported.

He hoped that the current situation would not last long, given citizens’ commitment and solidarity.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa extended deepest thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad for his noble stances and keenness to follow up on his health during his treatment.

He also thanked His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for his sincere feelings.

He paid tribute to Royal Family members and valued highly citizens and residents for their love, loyalty and heartfelt supplications through media outlets and social media, which, he said, embodied the spirit of love and one-family feeling enjoyed by Bahrain.

“These distinctive feelings of love and loyalty make us more determined and resolved to carry on serving our dear citizens, and continue our efforts to achieve their aspirations and bring about more achievements that make them happy. They will help us overcome all challenges that the world is currently witnessing,” the Premier said.

“We are following closely on the extraordinary circumstances that the whole world is facing due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus pandemic and its negative effects. We are harnessing all the potentials of the state to ensure the safety of citizens and residents. We are doing our utmost to provide full care for them,” the Premier said.

“The government continues to take precautionary measures to confront the pandemic and contain its spread.

“We appreciate the efforts exerted by the Crown Prince and the government team, which is assuming its duties with great diligence, sincerity and great co-operation and co-ordination.”

The Premier affirmed that the kingdom would continue to adopt initiatives aimed at reconciling families, enhancing social communication and consolidating alternative measures that reflect the values of tolerance and keenness to give an opportunity to individuals to contribute to the national action march.

“Citizens should be reassured that their government is dedicated in their service, and spares no effort to serve them and provide them with the necessary medicine, food and living requirements.”
