A dentist who violated self-isolation protocols has been sentenced to a month in prison, a BD2,000 fine and permanent deportation from Bahrain, GDNonline reported.
The Lower Criminal Court issued the sentence today.
The dentist had refused to self-isolate following his return from Lebanon, one of the countries affected by the virus.
After a sample was collected at the airport and he was told to self-isolate for 14 days he opted to go to work at a private hospital and interacted with colleagues and patients instead of being in home quarantine.
