The Health Ministry has registered 486 new cases of Covid-19, out of the 8,259 tests carried out on Friday, reports GDNOnline.
Of these new cases, 270 were expatriate workers, 212 were contacts of active cases, and four were travel related.
This took the total number of active cases to 5,572, of which 5,536 were stable, with 174 patients receiving treatment, and 36 in a critical condition.
There were 591 recoveries from Covid-19, increasing the total number of recoveries to 15,287.
