Bahrain yesterday registered its highest number of active Covid cases, at 6,959 – alongside 690 new cases, 613 recoveries and three fatalities, reports GDNOnline.
Two Bahraini men, 54 and 70, and an expat man, 47, died from the coronavirus yesterday, taking the death toll to 220. The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 690 new cases, 125 were expatriate workers, 544 contacts of local cases and 21 travel-related.
It said an additional 613 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 56,700. The ministry added that of the 6,959 active cases, 157 were receiving treatment and 43 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 63,879 cases, including active cases, recoveries and deaths. The kingdom has also conducted 1,313,471 tests for Covid-19.
